YouTube is the place to go when you want to learn more about a topic, and genealogy is no exception. I have hundreds of videos on my Genealogy Gems YouTube channel that I organize into Playlists (groups of videos on a single topic) to make the learning even easier. Simply click “Playlists” in the menu under the channel banner.
One of my favorite playlists is Google Books for Genealogy . Google Books is a treasure trove of genealogical information with over 25 million books, many of them fully digitized and searchable.
In the first video in the playlist, How to Save Images in Google Books for Genealogy & Family History, you’ll learn how to clip and save images (like maps, drawings, photos, and more) from free Google eBooks for your genealogy research and family history. I’ll even show you how to use them on your own family history blog or website. This search tip comes from my book The Genealogist’s Google Toolbox Second Edition.
You’ll find the other videos in the Google Books for Genealogy playlist in the box to the right of the first video. You can get all my free genealogy videos by clicking the red Subscribe button.
