Sophie is a professional genealogist. She researches through all the funds of French Archives, studies historical archives to help her international clientele to find her French roots. Not only does she research her clients’ ancestry, she also trains each year genealogists who are willing to discover who their ancestors were, or who are in need of a better organization system. Sophie collaborates with the Revue Française de Généalogie, the first French genealogical magazine. Her collaboration includes training sessions and writing for the magazine.

She runs a blog: La Gazette des Ancetres : and manages the online francophone community of genealogists with various challenges (#Genealogie30, #Geneathemes, #ProjetPhilomene…). She has launched, and animates each year, the “A-Z Challenge”, a writing challenge in which more and more amateur genealogists are participating, as well as public archives.
